This could be one of my all time favorite MLBTR posts. Tim Dierkes scoured all of baseball's contracts and cribbed together the worst of the worst , the contracts any GM would love to get rid of. Happily, only Jeff Suppan (1 year, $14.5 million) is listed under the Brewers , though there are some other familiar names, including CoCo (2 years, $25 million) and Scott Linebrink (2 years, $10.5 million)....

Yesterday, Squawker Lisa accused me of " chugging some haterade " when it comes to the Yankees. Here are my responses to some of her charges: He's becoming a bitter Met fan! Becoming? You wanna talk steroids? Do I have to bring up your hero Mike Piazza again? As I conceded yesterday: "the Yankees are not alone here." But if Yankee fans claim that 2004 and 2007 are tainted because...

The Gwinnett Braves fall to 0-2 in the series against Scranton, as they turn around and hit the road for the rest of the series, continuing tomorrow night. Gwinnett was pretty much shut down on offense for the second straight night, this time by Ivan Nova (granted, that is an awesome name). Nova wasn't really effective in his 12 starts in the International League, but he found ways to get the Braves...

Remember this guy? Kei Igawa was supposed to be one of the first guys up this year from Triple-A for a spot start. Now, it’s already September and he still hasn’t reached the majors this year — not even after the rosters expanded. Igawa can blame his 4.29 ERA and 1.42 WHIP for not being promoted. Both averages are regressions from his 2007 campaign in Scranton. This is a 2007 Topps...
