Roster moves: There were no surprises among the second round of roster cuts. Right-hander Virgil Vasquez and outfielder Brent Clevlen were optioned to Triple-A Toledo. Seven others were reassigned to minor league camp: right-handers Freddy Dolsi, Chris Lambert and Preston Larrison; catchers Max St. Pierre and Nick Trzesniak; and infielders Michael Hollimon and Scott Sizemore.

They finished a ten inning 3-3 tie that saw Dontrelle Willis get tagged for a run but Denny Bautista, Preston Larrison and non-roster invitee Chris Lambert each threw two shutout frames. I listened to most of the game on the radio and there was a little scare [...]

I first noticed at Jason Beck’s blog that the Tigers announced their non-roster invitees, and then I saw Billfer’s post listing them as well. The Tigers’ official press release has them listed as follows: Pitchers: Francis Beltran Freddy Dolsi Jeff Gerbe Chris Lambert Preston Larrison Aquilino Lopez Matt Mantei Catchers: Joe Bowen Dusty Ryan Dane Sardinha James Skelton Max. St. Pierre...
