So who exactly are the 39 players on the 40-man roster? A few worth knowing about if you don't know them already: Greg Fertel of Pending Pinstripes is counting down his top Yankee prospects. Yesterday, he shared his thoughts on Romulo Sanchez , whom the Yankees acquired from the Pirates in a minor league trade last May: He throws his changeup at around 86 MPH, a nice difference from his heater. Again,...

40-man rosters have to be set by Friday , so expect some fun stuff to happen this week. The Bucs currently have 36 players on their 40-man roster. That doesn't include Jose Ascanio and Evan Meek , who will both need to be protected by Friday. The Pirates will also have to decide whether to include a number of minor leaguers , any of whom could be selected in the Rule 5 draft in December if they aren't...

It's a testament to the job Cashman has done rebuilding the franchise that the Yankees lost 6 players...
