Mount, Statia, Moore, and Mendoza have all graced the Angels ' top prospect rankings in the past, and Mendoza in particular is coming off of a strong season. Hank Conger , Peter Bourjos , Ryan Mount , Tommy Mendoza, Bobby Cassevah, Tim Kiely and Jeremy Haynes will be wintering in the Arizona sun. They join top prospects from the Sux organization, among others, on the Mesa Solar Sox (seriously? The Sox? At least our guys might garner some ESPN coverage...).

Angels pitching prospect Alex Torres pitched a good game , if not an outstanding one: his line was 5.2 IP, 5 hits, 2 ER, 3 K/4 BB. He obviously struggled a bit with baserunners, but induced 3 groundball double plays to get out of trouble. That's the advantage of being a strikeout/groundball guy - one or the other can make all of your mistakes go away. Torres is going to get a lot of press this offseason...
