Andrew Fletcher / Scott Proctor's Arm : World Series Film premiere — I caught the premiere of the 2009 World Series Film tonight. No, I wasn't at the big one at the Ziegfeld in Manhattan, but this was good enough. — I thought the film was nicely done and it's certainly worth the $19.99 MLB.com is charging …

p> I turned 26 yesterday. After descending to depths of unspeakable depravity — and eating an entire jumbo slice of pizza — I went to sleep and woke up this morning to find out the Braves hadn’t forgotten about me: they gave Scott Proctor a minor league contract. Now, obviously, as Tom has written, Proctor isn’t exactly [...]

Atlanta Braves Signed Scott Proctor to a 1-year, minor-league split contract. Somewhere in the Northeast, Theo Epstein is hitting himself, saying, “Damn, I wish I’d thought of that”. There’s really nothing to dislike about this move. Bring in a former solid reliever who has missed time due to injuries. Pay him next to nothing, give up no talent [...]

Talking Chop reports the Braves have signed Scott Proctor . You remember Scott Proctor , or maybe you don't, the Marlins signed him and he never pitched a game for the Fish. Proctor ended up playing for Dr. Andrews team for all of the 2009 season when he underwent Tommy John surgery. Naturally we wish him the best, except when he plays against the Marlins, and hopefully the Atlanta job will workout...

I thought that with the end of the Met season, the pain would stop. I was so wrong. Now, finally, I can be at peace for at least a few months. Meet the Mets It's kind of weird starting today's post off with Met news, but here goes. Bill James predicts solid seasons from Wright, Reyes, and Francoeur . Ted Berg posts some hysterical SNY promos that didn't make the cut . At least now the Mets weren't...

In the first official move of the winter, per Mike Graham of Treasure Coast Newspapers via Talking Chop, Frank Wren & Co. have signed former Yankees and Dodgers reliever Scott Proctor to a split contract for 2010. Joe Torre worked Proctor to death in not one but two different organizations, as he appeared in a [...]

Proctor, the Martin County native, has reached an agreement with the Atlanta Braves on a one-year contract for the 2010 season, according to Proctor's Palm City-based agent Mark Rodgers. Since the Yankees and Angels clinched and confirmed their date in the 2009 ALCS all I’ve heard about what a great team the Angels are. People are entitled to their opinions so I can’t bash anyone for that, but it did get me thinking about the Yankee teams that previously faced the Angels. In 2002 and 2005 the Yankees faced the Angels in the ALDS and both times were unfortunately bounced...

The Marlins released pitchers Scott Proctor and Dave Davidson, according to Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Proctor, 33 in January, was non-tendered by the Dodgers in December of last year. He agreed to a $750K deal with the Marlins in January, but was not able to return from flexor tendon surgery as expected. In May, he decided to undergo Tommy John surgery. Proctor's best year...

This fantastic picture taken by Andrew Fletcher of Scott Proctor’s Arm perfectly sums up the perspective of a Yankee fan watching tonight’s game against the Rays. And if you didn’t know, that beautiful chap in the photo is the creator of this blog. B.J. Upton hit for the cycle before the 5th inning(!) ended as the Rays (83-77) routed the Yankees (102-58) 13-4. CC Sabathia missed out...

When I purchased the 2007 Updates and Highlights blaster there was some method to my madness. Among my collecting goals is the 'Pursuit of Jacoby Ellsbury'. I understand that there is a very rare Jacoby Card (#100b) available in this particular set. Due to its short print nature, hinted at being 1 in 20 cases, the card goes for big money on E-bay. So when this blaster became available I leapt at the...
