More photos » by John Bazemore - AP Adam LaRoche should be the guy manning first base for the Atlanta Braves next season. Browse more photos » Some of this will be a bit of a rehashing of a post I did earlier this week that was mainly about Adam LaRoche , but much of it is worth repeating. The Braves shocked quite a few people (including LaRcohe) when they re-acquired him at the trade deadline...

The next player to make their debut for the Royals will be the 700th player (to see game action) in Royals history. Will it happen this year? Probably. I guess we will have a better idea when the call-up list is released. Who do you think it will be? Just need a few more words to get to the minimum. Royals Royals Royals Royals Royals. For those that get the reference, you'll understand when I say that The Process™ in this case is a bomb. There are very few people of deserving to start on this team right now, and the bullpen is the biggest clusterfrak we've ever seen. I say blow the team up by calling up the maximum number of callups that we can and playing them all of September, regardless of the outcome. Let's start with...

The Braves, according to a major-league source, offered the Pirates the same trade that they ultimately made with the Red Sox — Casey Kotchman for Adam LaRoche. The Pirates could have controlled Kotchman for two more seasons, but preferred to acquire two prospects from the Red Sox — shortstop Argenis Diaz and pitcher Hunter Strickland. K-Ros on the LaRoche trade that didn't happen My assertion...

The Brewers signed the former Atlanta farm hand Scott Thorman to a minor-league deal Monday and invited him to camp. Wow, I guess the Royals passed on him. Oh well, tis a bit of a shame to see him go, he had good power and always gave max effort on every play.
