Bostick, Feliciano but not Kunz...

On Sept. 1st teams could expand their active rosters to include the entire 40man roster. Since then the Mets have gone two players over 25 men with the return of David Wright and the call-up of Josh Thole. They currently have 44 players on the the roster but five players are on the 60 day DL, leaving them one roster spot. The Mets are still carrying three questionable players; Argenis Reyes, Andy Green...

Back from the Dark Ages

I'm back to being connected to the Internet world, I'm not sure if that's good or bad. While I certainly do miss whatever brilliant, well-crafted snark is coming from the comments, it was kind of nice to be untethered from the digital world. As for the weekend, the Cubs pulled out 2 of 3 wins from the New York Mets - and with the Rockies getting swept - sneak to 5.5 back in the Wild Card. Important...

A Visitor From Better Days

In some parallel universe, Billy Wagner also jogged in from the bullpen for the 8th inning and retired the side in order. But in that parallel universe, the other eight defensive position were occupied by something other than surplus Buffalo Bisons, and we were thinking about October instead of about April. I'd like to live in that universe. But I don't, and so I can't escape the unhappy truth that...

Despite reports that Tony Bernazard challenged Binghamton players to a fight, latest indications are that Omar Minaya is unlikely to fire Bernazard . I guess the Mets are willing to let the vice president of player developement stand on his record. AAA Buffalo Bisons - 35-58, last place. AA Binghamton Mets - 37-59, last place. Binghamton's Web site says that they offer "A Big League Show at a...
