Now that the Louisville Bats have been eliminated, the Reds are going to add to their active roster will these players: IF Paul Janish IF Adam Rosales IF Danny Richar RHP Josh Roenicke RHP Jon Adkins LHP Danny Herrera LHP Adam Pettyjohn Interesting to note no Homer Bailey. I think it’s a good idea to shut him down. What purpose does bringing him [...]

Ramon Ramirez was activated to make today's start, and Adam Rosales was optioned to Louisville to make roster room. This is only a worry until tomorrow, because on Monday, September 1 the team can have as many as 40 players on the major league roster.

Jerry Hairston has returned to the disabled list, and Adam Rosales has been recalled to take his roster spot. Perhaps Rosales will get to start a game this time.

Rosales Triple-A: Homer Bailey gave up 9 more hits, but Jon Adkins blew up in the ninth, allowing 3 runs in Louisville's 7-6 loss . Adam Rosales was 3 for 5 with a homer, continuing his conquest of the minor leagues, and Wilkin Castillo moved to 3rd base and collected a couple hits. Justin Lehr threw two strong innings, and despite the loss, the Bats gained ground on the playoffs thanks to Toledo's...

As expected, Joey Votto was reinstated from the bereavement list, and Adam Rosales sent back to Louisville. Rosales never got a start, and was 1-for-5 as a pinch-hitter. Javier Valentin nonetheless got the start at first base tonight.

When Dusty Baker says, "I haven't given up on the season," I guess we should translate that to mean, "so I won't play the kids we need to find out about." Andy Phillips and Corey Patterson are in tonight's lineup rather than Adam Rosales and Chris Dickerson. Why? We already know what A. Phillips and Patterson can do. Isn't it time to give Rosales and Dickerson a shot? Isn't that why, or partly why,...

Before last night's game, the Reds put Joey Votto on bereavement leave for an unspecified reason (at his request) and called up Adam Rosales. To make 40-man roster room, they designated injured Marcus McBeth for assignment. Rosales was batting .281 at Louisville, while McBeth has posted a 6.20 ERA in the 24 games he has been able to pitch there. Javier Valentin got the first call to play first base,...

Adam Rosales was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and a homer and is 14 for 23 in his past 5 games with 8 extra-base hits. Ryan Hanigan , Shaun Cumberland and Drew T. Anderson added 2 hits apiece. Harang Triple-A: Aaron Harang struck out 6 in 6 innings and Adam Rosales , Drew T. Anderson and Chris Dickerson had 3 hits each in Louisville's 11-0 win . It was Harang's first start since July 8, what with his strained right forearm. He seems ready to go for the Reds, but he might get one more start with the Bats. Paul Janish was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs. Jeffords Double-A: Jeff Jeffords had...

Jukich Triple-A: Ben Jukich got roughed up again as the Bats lost 10-5 . He has an 8.68 ERA in his 2 starts for Louisville. Adam Rosales was 2 for 4, and Michael Griffin and Luis Bolivar homered. Rob Mackowiak went hitless again, and his batting average is down to .284. Not to harp on it, but a lot of good that 18-game (corrected) hit streak did. Double-A: The Lookouts managed just 4 hits in a 7-1...
