The Los Angeles Angels announced Wednesday that the club has selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Alex Serrano from the Salt Lake Bees. To make room for Serrano on the 25-man roster, the club optioned outfielder Reggie Willits to Salt Lake. These announcements were made by club General Manager Tony Reagins.

The Angels purchased the contract of RHP Alex Serrano from AAA Salt Lake, and sent down Reggie Willits to make room on the 25-man roster, as predicted earlier by the Times . (Via Halos Heaven .) Also via MLB.com . The move has the side-effect of filling the Angels' 40-man roster.
