Before Thursday, Brandon Inge's last homer on the road was June 5 of last season at Texas. He had gone 244 at-bats without a road homer until he connected for the game-winner Thursday night. He'd hit 11 homers at Comerica Park since his last homer on the road.

The Tigers came out of the gates after the all-star break with a 6-5 win over the Orioles tonight. It was a seesaw affair that saw the Tigers go ahead for good when Brandon Inge belted a two run homer in the sixth inning making it 5-4 at the time. Most of the Tigers runs came on homers tonight. Catcher Dane Sardinha cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Toledo, the Tigers announced today. Sardinha spent roughly two weeks in the big leagues with Detroit while Brandon Inge was on the disabled list with a pulled oblique muscle. He batted .167 with no home runs and two RBIs in five games.
