If the Red Sox were looking to increase their team batting average, 23 hits yesterday was a good way to start. Not only that, those hits were spread around fairly well. Except for Brandon Moss .

The Red Sox have scored seven runs in the seventh inning and have batted through the lineup. The inning started with a near-triple play that was really an RBI single for Jason Varitek. After Brandon Moss struck out swinging and Julio Lugo walked, the top of the Sox 1-2-3-4 hitters recorded a single, two doubles and another single to score the next six runs. The Red Sox have now totaled season-highs...

A bit of an odd play in the top of the seventh inning. With Justin Morneau and Jason Kubel on first and second base, Brandon Moss lost track of Delmon Young's flyball in the Sun and it dropped in for a single to load the bases with one out. Craig Hansen got Mike Lamb to fly out to right to Many Ramirez. The Sox escaped the inning, though, when Nick Punto grounded out to Hansen.

Hernandez (9-5, 5.18) vs. Beckett (8-5, 3.70) Game 3 of 3 1:05 @ Fenway Park I missed last night’s scintillating, come-from-behind Boston victory, the one where Manny tied the game with a two run homer and minutes later Brandon Moss knocked in the game winning run in a four run eighth inning, due to the fact that [...]

Brandon Moss drove in the winning run in last night's 6-5 conquest of the Minnesota Twins, but you know the happy fans went home talking about the guy we can't go two minutes without talking about in this town.

With one swing, Manny Ramírez changed everything last night at Fenway Park. This was shaping up as a pitching-dominated Minnesota victory, but Ramírez's two-run homer in the eighth tied the game and Brandon Moss's two-out single drove in Kevin Youkilis with the go-ahead run to cap a four-run inning and produce the Red Sox' second one-run victory in as many ...

Slump? What slump? Manny Ramirez has been struggling at the plate as of late with his timing just a bit off. He was last night’s hero and he was one of the hero’s tonight as his 2-run home run tied the game at 5 and Brandon Moss followed a few batters later with an RBI single [...]
