Cintron off DL; efforts to sign Matusz slow The Orioles optioned struggling pitcher Brian Burres to Triple-A Norfolk yesterday, leaving Jeremy Guthrie and Daniel Cabrera as the only members of the Opening Day rotation still on the team. Shortstop Alex Cintron was activated from the 15-day disabled list to take Burres' spot on the roster.

There was something totally Count Floyd about this one... Saunders was great through six, with the offense knocking around starter Brian Burres for five runs, two on a Torii Hunter double and the rest on homers from Juan Rivera and Casey Kotchman. But in the seventh with two out, Saunders fell apart and Mike for some reason seemed to forget that the point is to score more runs than the other guys....
