We may very well look back at the 4-game sweep by the Brewers as the point where the Cardinals’ wheels fell off. I said yesterday, I didn’t expect to win the CC Sabathia game, but in all 3 others we had a lead late into the game and our bullpen blew it. That is unacceptable. [...]

The 4-game sweep of the Padres was soured slightly by our complete implosion against the Brewers. Last night was no big surprise. CC Sabathia pitched lights out, just like I expected. But we SHOULD be 2-1 in the series. Our freaking bullpen gave away games 1 and 2. You cannot like that. It doesn’t look [...]

Apparently, C.C. Sabathia is rockin’ it old school. He tossed his third straight complete game yesterday to defeat the Cardinals. It’s his 6th complete game of the year and his 3rd complete game shut-out. Sabathia’s been scary good since coming to the Brewers, and this most recent complete game was his best outing yet, as it [...]

So, that was a lovely game to pick for my lone trip to Busch Stadium this year. CC Sabathia certainly looked incredible last night, painting his corners and changing speeds and just looking nasty. I know that people will complain that the Cardinals didn't make him work enough, but I just don't buy that argument. Sabathia was just throwing strikes, and throwing them hard, and throwing them on the corners....

Wow, CC Sabathia is a stud! three complete games in a row, that’s a first in 14 years for the Crew, and this last game was a three hit shutout! He is 4-0 with a 1.36 ERA since joining the Brewers. If the crew goes to the playoffs, this trade will have been a very [...]

I don't think it's unreasonable... to argue that CC Sabathia is now the front-runner for the NL Cy Young award. That's at the top of today's Sporting News column . ...To keep covering the Brett Favre story if it's going to continue having weird plot twists like Roger Goodell stepping in and Donovan McNabb getting involved. ...For Josh Childress to escape the Hawks and flee to the sunny money in Greece....
