DeJan Kovacheck of the Pittsburgh Post Gazzette is reporting that Jack Wilson is likely staying put, and as much as it might surprise you, this is actually kind of depressing. If Pittsburgh was asking for the players Kovacheck talks about: James McDonald and Chin-Lung Hu, then it's not something I would be happy about, but the idea behind trading for Jack Wilson isn't a bad one. At this point, I'm...

The Dodgers will activate Andruw Jones and Nomar Garciaparra for Friday's game in San Francisco. Nomar is scheduled to be the team's starting shortstop. Brad Penny will not make his next start, but Chan-Ho Park will get the call. Penny is still having command issues. Chin-Lung Hu is getting drops prescribed for his right eye to clear up blurred vision. Hmm, maybe it's a better idea to wait on him...

Che-Hsuan Lin was named to the 2008 World Roster for the upcoming All-Star Futures Game . He joins countrymen CFC, Chien-Ming Wang, Chin-Hui Tsao, Yung-Chi Chen, and last year's ASFG MVP Chin-Lung Hu - as participants in this prestigious event. CPBL: T-Rex 9 - Bulls 0: Rex starter Chien-Fu Chen's record is only 3-8, but he spun a gem of a game on Thursday against the Sinon Bulls. Chen threw a CG shutout,...

Jay Jaffe in today's Hit List : Fool Rushes In Without Fearing Where Angel Treads: The Dodgers are just 13-21 since Rafael Furcal went on the DL, and in the face of his latest setback and a dearth of other options--unless you count Chin-Lung Hu, Luis Maza, and about 10,000 other professional ballplayers--the Ned Colletti regime reaches a new low by trading precious organic matter for the undead Angel...

Impatient with Chin-Lung Hu’s .159 batting average, and surely confused at times by what appeared to be a 13 year old boy from Taiwan playing shortstop, Ned Colletti finally addressed the shortstop position Friday. The Dodgers acquired former competent shortstop Angel Berroa, who failed to make the Kansas City Royals out of spring training. Berroa captured the AL ROY award in 2003, but has since struggled....

Via Jon , the Dodgers have options Chin-Lung Hu to Las Vegas and replaced his competent glove with the incompetent one of Angel Berroa. Andy LaRoche will join Berroa on the major league roster for the Padres series. I missed it when they first posted it, but MSTI wrote the definitive case against Berroa over the weekend.

It's the thought process that counts, and mark my words, before this season is over, Angel Berroa will blow a routine play or just fail to get to a ball that Chin-Lung Hu would have gotten to. The Dodgers are just so infuriating right now; what's the point here? One of Jon Miller or Joe Morgan in today's broadcast let slip that the germ of the Berroa trade came from bench coach Bob Schaefer; fair enough,...

The Dodgers seem poised to replace Chin-Lung Hu on the roster with Andy LaRoche, but that's no doubt predicated on LaRoche being 100 percent. The Dodger infielder, who has played first and second base in recent days along with third, was hit by a pitch in the hand Saturday night and left the game shortly thereafter. Today should bring more news. (The 51s play at 12:05 p.m.)

What can you say? Even when Chin-Lung Hu triples and Jeff Kent homers twice, Takashi Saito can't hold on. Even after the team loads the bases so improbably in the bottom of the ninth and gets ahead in the count 2-0, Matt Kemp can't avoid the strikeout.

Questions about this game: Why didn't Chad Billingsley attempt a suicide squeeze in the fifth with one out and runners on the corners? The Dodgers have been having trouble scoring runs; it seems like smallball is eminently called for in that circumstance. Why was Chin-Lung Hu held at third on Kemp's double? It would have taken a perfect throw to get him. Why did Mark Sweeney get the start at first?...
