The much maligned backup catcher for the Braves, Corky Miller, has been designated for assignment (DFA'ed). Corky seemed like a likable enough player, and the other Braves players seemed to have an Orr-like enjoyment of him in the clubhouse, but in the end it really should come down to performance, and Corky just wasn't performing.
