Casilla Progressing Well? According to LEN III's latest update over at Twins Insider, he describes Alexi Casilla's most recent check up as "encouraging". He does qualify that by saying he'll get more specifics once he speaks to Ron Gardenhire. Also, Craig Monroe has cleared waivers, and has been given his outright release.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins on Friday recalled left-hander Francisco Liriano from Triple-A Rochester and designated right-hander Livan Hernandez and former Tigers outfielder Craig Monroe for assignment. Liriano was 10-2 with a 3.28 ERA at Rochester. A rookie star in 2006, he missed last year because of ligament-replacement surgery in his left elbow.

And it's not necessarily a bad thing. Boof Bonser is still in the bullpen, Livan Hernandez is still in the rotation, Mike Lamb is still taking up a bench spot and Craig Monroe is still this team's fifth outfielder.
