Armando Galarraga retired the first eight Royals this afternoon before allowing a clean single to right to David Dejesus leading off the seventh. So, the Big Cat didn't pitch a perfect game but the Tigers had a near perfect series pounding the Royals 19-4 on Monday night, 7-1 on Tuesday night and 7-1 today. Galarraga went seven innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out a career

"Jose Guillen was pinch-hitting for…Alex Gordon. Alex Gordon, who’s hitting .280/.365/.492 against right-handed pitching. Gordon, who’s just a tick behind David DeJesus as the best hitter on the team against right-handers. With Guillen, who’s hitting .257/.275/.420 against RHP. While it wouldn't be the perfect fit because he's a lefty David DeJesus would be a solid pick-up. Growing pains still exist in the Royals’ New Blue Tradition era. Less than 24 hours after David DeJesus’ thrilling, game-ending home run, the Royals literally threw away Sunday’s game, sending ace closer Joakim Soria to the All-Star Game with a loss.

Christmas in July? Absolutely. David DeJesus provided the Royals with their first walk-off homer in more than three years Saturday night by rocketing a two-run shot into the right-field bullpen for a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Saturday night, Kansas City’s David DeJesus hit a stirring two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning and beat the Seattle Mariners 5-4. The guy’s hot. He has emerged as the player the Royals thought he might be. He might even be better than they thought.

via d.yimg.com Video of David's HR here . The home run was David's tenth of the season, setting a new career high. Sometimes you can see these things coming . McDonald: Butler: 18 HRs, 78 RBI, .277 BA. (with weird playing time patterns early and then a second-half tear) Gordon: 23 HRs, 91 RBI, .282 BA. Teahen: 13 HRs, 62 RBI, .295 BA. DeJesus: 13 HRs, 65 RBI, .288 BA. Wow, these all look weird and...
