Much fuss has been raised over Ron Gardenhire’s recent admission that he’d prefer to open the 2009 season with Carlos Gomez, Denard Span and Michael Cuddyer as his starting outfield alignment, leaving Delmon Young out in the dark. Many view this as the manager overplaying his hand, potentially upsetting a historically volatile player, and lowering Bill Smith’s leverage when it comes to trading the...

Rays Index points us to a Danny Knobler report that indicates the Rays are willing to trade shortstop Jason Bartlett. With Reid Brignac posting a .299 OBP in Triple A and Tim Beckham a year removed from high school, it'd be surprising if the Rays dealt their starting shortstop.

Michael Cuddyer is overvalued by the Minnesota Twins. Do I have your attention? I hope so because Bill Smith and the Twins are rumored to be shopping left fielder Delmon Young. I mean, with the emergence of Denard Span and Brian Buscher this year along with the clear productivity of Young I was planning on putting together a [...]

They’ve got more road miles than Magellan, the Indians and Rays took turns kicking their ass and when they got home, it was to Jesse Ventura’s state. Please. Denard Span? Kid’s got no big game experience, probably doesn’t even understand that it’s not [...]
