... writing about something that really isn't important at all. Now that we're on the same page... Eddie Guardado got a save last night! Yep, that Eddie Guardado. Everyday Eddie. Steady Eddie. The big, rotund lefty that used to be the stud closer for the Twins and Mariners. Big Eddie is 37 years old now and obviously isn't the same guy that racked up...

I'll leave the debate over my relative sanity for a minute to just inform you that Kason Gabbard is going on the DL tomorrow with a bad back, Scott Feldman will start against the Tigers tomorrow, Eddie Guardado will not be activated until Friday and Jason Jennings will have his scheduled start pushed back to Saturday. We now return you to our regularly scheduled program: What kind of...

Wes Littleton is here to replace Scott Feldman. Littleton made sense as the extra reliever because he had the freshest arm. Oklahoma used both Frank Francisco and Kameron Loe yesterday, but not Littleton. Littleton is probably here only until Eddie Guardado returns on Saturday.

T.R. Sullivan reports that Eddie Guardado has been put on the disabled list to make room for Luis Mendoza on the 25 man roster. Mendoza starts tonight, and the Rangers are now without a lefty in the bullpen (other than C.J. Wilson). The Rangers will have to make another room tomorrow to make room for Scott Feldman, and I guess it is possible that, after Feldman makes his start, they...

Looks as if Eddie Guardado will be the odd man out to make room for Luis Mendoza. The lineup card is up with Guardado not listed in the bullpen. There are seven other relievers listed in the bullpen. Guardado has been bothered by left shoulder soreness. He hasn't appeared in a game since getting out the only batter he faced on April 4. Also, no Milton Bradley tonight. That's...

Eddie Guardado said in the final days of spring training that he couldn't wait to pitch under the lights when it mattered late in tight games during the season. He got his chance on Tuesday and was solid, allowing one baserunner in his lone inning of work in the seventh. The score is tied as the game goes to the eighth. Guardado looks focused out there, but if you see him in the...

Eddie Guardado left the mound in the fifth inning with what appears some sort of leg injury. Not sure the status yet. He gave up two runs (on a homer to Alfonso Soriano) and then got two outs before exiting. The bad luck on injuries to pitchers continues. We'll keep you updated.
