Hope everyone’s enjoying their holiday season but, no, that’s not the only reason to be rejoicing right now. First, Gary Majewski just made the defending world champions worse. Then, as if there weren’t enough to be happy about right now, our old buddy Jimmy “Leatherpants” Bowden has signed everyone’s favorite ex-Red, Corey Patterson. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. [...]

He was shipped to the Reds in a 2006 trade, already...

John Fay reports that the Reds non-tendered (did not offer contracts to) Norris Hopper, Matt Belisle, and Gary Majewski. This although none of them has turned up on lists of non-tenders. Ah well, Fay normally doesn't post these things unless he's sure. The main reason not to "tender" these guys is that if you do, they have a right to salary arbitration, and can get more money than the team is willing...

The Reds non-tendered Norris Hopper, Matt Belisle, and Gary Majewski. Good riddance on Majewski. I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I would have kept Belisle around to compete with Nick Masset for long man in the bullpen. He may have bounced back in the bullpen after having his knee fixed. Gary Majewski has been reactivated from the bereavement list, following the birth of his child Tuesday. Danny Herrera returns to Louisville. Some of the media have decided it is their job to tell Cincinnnati fans how to feel about Ken Griffey Jr. The upshot is, they think that in the light of the 600th homer, we are not properly appreciative of the future Hall of Famer. This surfaced on the Saturday...
