Via Slyde, I see this in-depth look at the pitching mechanics of Homer Bailey. I don’t really know what to make of it, but it’s interesting nonetheless. Especially this part: Homer Bailey is a textbook example of how not to throw a baseball, right up there with Anthony Reyes, B.J. Ryan, and Mark Prior. Ouch.

Reds manager Dusty Baker hasn't seen Homer Bailey at his best. After all, Bailey went 0-6 with a 7.93 ERA for the Reds last season. But he understands why Bailey's name keeps coming up in trade rumors.

McCoy to White Sox: "Your Ship Ain't So Tight" So far, on this chilly Monday afternoon in Dayton, there has been no confirmation or announcement on the trade of pitcher Homer Bailey to the Chicago White Sox (with a couple of minor-leaguers tossed in) for outfielder Jermaine Dye. As many of you might suspect - because there is no LAS VEGAS dateline on my newspaper stories, I am NOT at the winter meetings....

An update to the earlier ridicule of ESPN as it reported a Jermaine Dye for Homer Bailey deal at 11:30 CT. It's 1 a.m. and a good job of editing as that part was edited out of its pre-recorded overnight SC. Apparently someone's reading this blog. Maybe.
