6-4-2 — an Angels/Dodgers double pl (Free subscription) | yesterday
You know, if you had told me Jeff Mathis would hit the game-winning home run in this one, I wouldn't have believed you. I followed the last few innings of this one on my phone at the airport and in the restaurant where we subsequently ate dinner, and I'm not sure I still believe...

Yet again, the Angels did just enough to get the win and get Francisco Rodriguez his 41st save. Starter Jered Weaver left the game in the third inning with a tight back, and the Angel bullpen supported him by shutting down the Indians giving up only four hits....

What a bummer of a game this was. Jeff Mathis showing his command of the plate with 3 strikeouts. Jon Garland being more or less a massacre tonight. Lastly, Howie getting the third call strike on a ball that was high and outside starting the double play which Macier while running to 2nd saw that it was a ball and pulled up and jogged into 2nd only to be thrown out completing the 4th grade kick ball...
