Ok, I've been away for a week and I know Shawn didn't have a good start on Friday....but does this make sense to anybody? Marcum's is going to down and John Parrish is coming up to fill his spot in the rotation. "We've got some chance here to catch these guys," Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi said. "We want to put the best possible group out there that we can right now. He's just been struggling...

Jesse Litsch has been recalled and returns to the starting rotation. To make room, John Parrish has been optioned to Syracuse (Parrish still has options') and Scott Richmond will work out of the bullpen. Nothing against Parrish, who did a solid job while he was. I thought it was weird having four left-handers in the pen. Lisch made three starts at Syracuse, going 1-0, 3.60 - it's the 18 Ks and 4 BB...

Brian Tallet was put on the DL broken 'small toe' on his right foot. Tallet likely will be out three weeks. The big news is the Jays are calling up Scott Richmond from Syracuse. Scott is a right-handed pitcher and will start on Wednesday in John Parrish's place. Richmond is a Canadian, from Vancouver, BC. He will be the 14th Canadian to play for the Jays....barring a trade for Justin Morneau before...

Seattle: 38-63 Blue Jays: 51-51 GAMES Game 1: Miguel Batista vs John Parrish * Game 2: Carlos Silva vs David Purcey * Game 3: Jarrod Washburn * vs Shaun Marcum Last time we played the Jays we faced Halladay, Litsch and McGowan. We get a whole new slate of pitchers this time around and the first is a name we all remember. John Parrish was never as bad as most people thought he was and letting him go...

Putting this up early because I'm going to be on the road for most of the day. Hoping it will be on radio here, would be good to kill the miles listening to it. We have John Parrish going up against Edwin Jackson for the Rays. Parrish has made two good starts for us, hoping that can continue because the way we are swinging the bats the pitchers have to be near perfect. Edwin is 5-6 with a 3.93 ERA,...

On Saturday afternoon, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Atlanta Braves 9-5 had to hang on–barely. Starter John Parrish, making his season debut thanks to Shaun Marcum’s injury, did the job with six innings of four-hit ball, turning a 6-1 lead over to the bullpen. Jays reliever Brian Tallet, however, imploded and gave up four runs in [...]
