Jonathan Sanchez goes for the Giants who is a lefty which means Bill E. Hall is back in the starting lineup at third. No TV as Chris already mentioned which means we'll be missing a spectacular start from Sheets. Here's the lineup: 2B Rickie Weeks SS J.J. Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF Corey Hart 3B Bill Hall CF Mike Cameron C Jason Kendall RHP Ben Sheets Game Time: 3:15 CT. Go Crew!

Nice feeling, right? We have an ace pitch one night, and then another ace goes the next day. This afternoon's matchup is Ben Sheets and Jonathan Sanchez. Sanchez has come a long way since his 4-inning, 7-run outing against the Brewers the opening week of the season--he's got a sub-4.00 ERA and hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start in more than a month. Of course, Sheets is pretty good, too....

Johan Santana's shortest outing of the season lasted long enough to end his frustrating losing streak. The Giants' Jonathan Sanchez pauses after allowing a three-run homer to the Mets' Ramon Castro, background.

* Hey, I know this isn’t NBA F/A circus talk, but just watching the Giants and Jonathan Sanchez is BLOWING right now–translation: throwing very hard, striking out many Dodgers. I haven’t been Sanchez’s No. 1 cheerleader or No. 1,000… but if he throws like this,... Continue reading...

Giants GM Brian Sabean explained his trade deadline strategy to the San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman. As you might expect, starters Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Jonathan Sanchez are off-limits. The trio has 331 Ks already. The Giants aren't interested in a rental, even though they are in the race at five games out. Sabean is likely to keep Bengie Molina and Randy Winn, but Ray Durham, Omar...
