As expected the Yanks dispatched Kei Igawa to Scranton today to make way for Ian Kennedy on the Big League roster. I’ll be back in a bit with the game thread, but I have to wonder if this it for Kei in New York. Baring some catastrophic injury, is there anything that would put him [...]

Word on the street right now is that the Kei Igawa Experience 2008 is over, for now. The Yankees plan to call up Ian Kennedy to face the Mets on Friday. The Yanks were pleased with the confidence and approach Kennedy showed last week in his AAA, and if the plan right now is to [...]

Via Rich comes an interesting tidbit in this Ken Davidof blog post: Well, I think it's about time for me to give up on Kei Igawa. I didn't see Friday's game, but the brutal numbers speak for themselves. My faith was based on the faith of people whose opinions I respect. The Padres claimed Igawa on [...]

If you need a good laugh today, thank Rob Bradford of the Boston Herald. He reports that Manny Ramirez wants to win a Gold Glove in left field. How Rob didn't laugh when interviewing Manny, I have no idea. You can't make this stuff up. Keep an eye out for my story tomorrow, Kei Igawa wants to [...]

Rain washed away the Yankees' Mother's Day series finale against the Tigers, but Mother Nature may have delivered a welcome gift for the Bombers. The rainout gives the Yankees a couple of more days to figure out what to do with Kei Igawa, who was originally slated to start Wednesday in St. Pete. Andy Pettitte, who would've started Sunday, will open the Yankees' four-game set against the Rays...

With many, many thanks to "unmoderated", clearly the best commenter in the world: So, I was right! Well, not about Kei Igawa deserving another chance, but about how I'd regret/deny ever having said that he deserved another chance. The Yankees continue to treat .500 like a soft, warm bed on a cold morning. They're four games back of Boston, which is nothing to stress over in May, but they're...

RAB Note: There’s no Down on the Farm for Sunday because there were no games. Two were rained out; two teams had scheduled off days. So I got my wish on Sunday: The Yanks were rained out, thus saving us the agony of another Kei Igawa start. Almost. The Baseball Gods, you see, are fickle. While the [...]

DETROIT - The rainout of yesterday's Yankees-Tigers game at Comerica Park may allow the Yankees to avoid starting Kei Igawa the next time through the rotation. At the very least, Igawa will be pushed back.

Hopefully, today's rainout in Detroit will mean we won't be subjected to another Kei Igawa start, but you never know. One troubling thing from Joe Girardi today, even though no game was played. The lineup pasted below is what Girardi...
