Kevin Slowey was the victim of another big inning yesterday, as the Tigers tagged him for five runs in the fourth inning to put the Twins in a 6-2 hole. Slowey's day was done after 3 2/3 innings, and Ron Gardenhire was forced to hand a four-run deficit against a powerful offense to his recently shaky bullpen. It certainly appeared that the Twins were on their way to a fourth straight loss, but instead,...

Kevin Slowey (6-6, 3.78) vs. Kenny Rogers (6-6, 4.60) How will last night's thrilling comeback by the Tigers carry into today's series opener? Will the Twins be dragging the hangover of yesterday's 18-5 loss at Boston? These are but a couple of questions to ponder going into this afternoon's game. But the question that might be the most mysterious, one that I just haven't been able to find an answer...

He'll be back. But when? There's no reason to rush anything. With the starting rotation being generally impressive over the last three weeks, any sense of urgency the Twins might have felt early in June has likely been dulled. Livan Hernandez, Nick Blackburn, Scott Baker, Kevin Slowey and Glen Perkins have largely exceeded expectations on the whole, and with that luxury the organization is able to...

If you had bet me 3:1 last night that Kevin Slowey would have more strikeouts then Sheets in the Brewers/Twins game , I still wouldn't have given action. Something in water down at the Homerdome? But getting a few bucks out of StB never sucks :) And its not just the Twins, it seems like the whole AL Central is finally waking up to their preseason predictions of being the strongest division out there....
