Matt Joyce and Michael Hollimon are in the majors now because two veterans — Magglio Ordoñez and Ramon Santiago — are on the disabled list with injuries. Two years ago, Hollimon and Joyce were teammates on the West Michigan Whitecaps, a farm club in the Class A Midwest League. On Thursday, they helped Detroit win, 8-4, before 22,523 at Safeco Field.
