The Kansas City Council will get the ball rolling today on a November light rail ballot measure. Councilman Russ Johnson will introduce an ordinance at the City Council’s legislative session to submit a light rail sales tax to voters, and a resolution describing the possible route and council’s intentions on light rail.

They don't, of course, they're simply doing a good job of listening to and exploring all ideas by meeting with an engineer to talk about the feasibility of a subway in Kansas City . And, while I think the idea is a crazy one, I appreciate their effort in checking out the engineer's boring pipe dream.
