I know these are a day late, but here are some of my pictures from Friday night's Game 2 of the ALDS between the Rays and the White Sox. We are talkin' about the playoffs! I think the blur is Scott Kazmir. Probably the best pic I took all night. Apparently, John Cena is a Rays fan. So is Rob Schneider and Erin Andrews, who I am pretty sure claimed the Rays make her "hot". (She is definitely at the...

Yesterday was a good day for teams that won their first ALDS game, as the Rays and Red Sox went 2-0 up on their ALDS foes. Chicago at least is going home, but the Angels seem pretty much done. Tampa Bay 6, Chicago 2 : Tampa beat Chicago behind a good start from Scott Kazmir and solid work from it's bullpen. Former Bluebird Banter target Akinori Iwamura hit a 2-run home run, Dioner Navarro and Carl...

The one Chicago team goes on the road down 2-0. The other one goes home down 2-0. I guess we can stop considering how many times FOX would play The Blues Brothers during bumps. Rays 6, White Sox 2 (Tampa Bay leads series, 2-0) Chicago got to Scott Kazmir early, scoring two runs in the first inning, which could've been a lot more. Jim Thome singled Orlando Cabrera home with the bases loaded, and Alexei...

Star Of The Game: Rays' Bullpen Last season, it was one of the most motley crews ever assembled in major-league history (6.16 ERA, worst since the 1950s). This season, the Rays' bullpen has been strictly lights out. Scott Kazmir, despite early pitch-count troubles, got into the sixth inning. From there, it was closed out by Grant Balfour, J.P. Howell and Chad Bradford. In two playoff games, Tampa Bay...

Wow, talk about a tale with two sides. Scott Kazmir was beyond miserable in the first inning and it began with the second pitch of the game, a slider that broke way too much and nailed Orlando Cabrera in the lower leg. Despite what Harold Reynolds spewed there's almost no chance it was intentional. Not only did Kazmir run getting ejected two pitches in, but he also put the leadoff man on. From there...
