The Texas Rangers made a plethora of moves Friday to beef up an American League-worst pitching staff, optioning pitchers Scott Feldman and Wes Littleton, while recalling pitcher Kameron Loe and purchasing the contract of pitcher Joselo Diaz from Double-A Frisco.

Per Richard Durrett, the Rangers have called up Kam Loe, purchased the contract of Joselo Diaz, and optioned Wes Littleton to AAA and Scott Feldman to AA. The Rangers' 40 man roster is now full, with the addition of Diaz, although I can't imagine he'll be occupying a spot for long. But we now have a couple of fresh arms in the pen, should Luis Mendoza implode.

There are some nice photos up of various Bakersfield Blaze players here... And I have to admit, I had a Brandon Boggs/Wes Littleton moment when I saw K.C. Herren...

T.R. Sullivan has the latest on some moves . Jason Jennings is starting today instead of Scott Feldman. Feldman is up, but in the bullpen. Kaz Fukumori has been called up. Kason Gabbard has been put on the d.l., and Wes Littleton has been sent down.

I don't know how long I would have laid awake tonight, pissed off, if the Rangers had lost this. Wes Littleton is a beast. And Josh Hamilton is a beasticon.

The Rangers blew a three-run lead in the eighth inning. Joaquin Benoit threw 29 pitches, but only 12 of them for strikes. He loaded the bases and walked in the first run of the inning before being removed for Wes Littleton. Then Ben Broussard went in the hole between first and second to field a grounder ... and promptly threw it away, allowing the tying runs to score. Littleton did get out of the...

Wes Littleton has been called up , and Scott Feldman optioned back down. Evan Grant says Littleton is likely only up until Eddie Guardado comes off the d.l. this weekend.

Wes Littleton is here to replace Scott Feldman. Littleton made sense as the extra reliever because he had the freshest arm. Oklahoma used both Frank Francisco and Kameron Loe yesterday, but not Littleton. Littleton is probably here only until Eddie Guardado returns on Saturday.

Okay, with Scott Feldman getting optioned tomorrow, the Rangers will be calling up a reliever. The top options are supposedly Kam Loe, Wes Littleton, and Frankie Francisco. Loe and Francisco both pitched for Oklahoma tonight (in a game started by Eric Hurley, who now is sporting the ERA of a plane this season). Littleton didn't. Maybe I'm oversimplifying, but this suggests that Littleton will be in...

So, remember the apparent heated competition between right-handers Wes Littleton and Robinson Tejeda for that final coveted spot in the Rangers’ Opening Day bullpen? Forget it. Numerous media sources, including Bob Przybylo of MLB.com, are reporting that the Texas Rangers have acquired enigmatically talented right-hander Dustin Nippert from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for High-A Bakersfield...
