With John Danks' performance the past week, and the resurgence of the campaign by some in the Fort Worth print media to run Jon Daniels out of town, replete with references to him as an "idiot" who has been "neutered," I've mulled writing something about that trade. Because, at the end of the day, that's the centerpiece to the complaints...the awful (and indefensible) San Diego trade is farther back...

For those who were watching the 9th inning of the Rays/ChiSox game, can someone tell me how the Jermaine Dye soft line drive to Jason Bartlett, which Bartlett dropped, but still had plenty of time to throw Dye out at first base, but he threw high and drew Carlos Pena off the bag, although Pena was still able to tag Dye before he touched first, even though the ump missed it and called Dye safe... As I've mentioned, my in-laws live in Galveston. They were there during the hurricane and took some pictures, which I thought were pretty interesting.
