As C.J. Miles came down from a jumper on James Posey 's foot in the third quarter of Wednesday's game, the Jazz couldn't help but flash back to the preseason and the sickening scene of Deron Williams clutching his ankle on the United Center floor.

Even as Jazz coach Jerry Sloan has cycled through 11 different starting lineups in 34 games, C.J. Miles has remained the one constant in an injury-ravaged season.

There's no shortage of options for the Jazz to consider at wing between C.J. Miles, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver and Andrei Kirilenko, but coach Jerry Sloan was content Friday night to live through some growing pains by the 21-year-old Miles. The numbers - - seven points, 3 of 12 shooting, four turnovers, 30 minutes - - only tell part of the story for Miles. To open the game, the Jazz fell behind by...

It's good to know that Paul is still getting more rebounds in a game than CJ Miles even when he isn't playing. According to this article the NBA has credited Paul with an additional rebound in the Bucks game last week, which gave him a double-double for the game, keeping his streak in tact. Kudos to the D-News reader who pointed that out. Paul should buy you a diet soda or something.

That was a brutal game tonight, best summed up afterward by Deron Williams, who took the blame for stinking it up on the court. C.J. Miles described the Jazz as having too many "hectic" possessions, which I thought was also interesting. It hasn't been easy for Williams returning from a sprained ankle, especially now that he also has a strained hip flexor, but the last week would have been even worse...
