Senegal centre Cheikh Samb will sign a one-month contract (with an optional second month) with Real Madrid following a successful probation week. Samb played for WTC Cornella in the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons; during the former he became the top-blocker in the LEB-2 League. The centre ended up playing for the New York Knicks.
