Spoilers for the first two episodes of the new season/version of "Scrubs" coming up just as soon as I do the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag (and then remind you of Dikembe's greatest gift to the comedy gods )... I talked a lot about my feelings about this new season of the show - and whether it should, in fact, be considered a new series - in yesterday's column , so go read that if you didn't...
Filed under: Talk Sports Yesterday on TMZ TV, our lawyer Jason told a story about how Dikembe Mutombo once walked into a party at Georgetown University and stated, "Who wants to have sex with Dikembe?!?"After the piece ran, several people wrote in, alleging that Jason's ... Permalink

"Dikembe Mutombo" is from Woodsman's latest, Collages, out now digitally on Mexican Summer. This song is fairly raucous, and the connection to Mutombo is tenuous, but sometimes it's hard to tell with instrumental music. It's entirely possible he laid down some guitar on this track. I don't know if we'll ever find the truth. Woodsman Dikembe Mutombo [MP3]
It must be pretty fun to be an instrumental band. You can just name your songs whatever you feel like and go nuts. Woodsman did that with “Dikembe Mutombo,” which as far as we know has very little to do with basketball or being from the Congo. But that’s okay! Instead it’s a whirlwind of [...]
It's here. One of the most anticipated Blazer seasons in recent memory is finally upon us. It's been a long and dramatic off-season that included drafting three young guys, trading away fan favorites, participation in Eurobasket, dealing with replacement refs, and all the drama an NBA team can handle. Actual basketball will be played this evening and there is no more room for prognosticating, predicting...
It certainly doesn’t sound like the big fella is having a whole lot of fun with it: “It’s not easy man. A lot of work. It takes a lot of dedication going to the gym, working out, spending more than an hour on the bike everyday. It’s not easy but I’m trying my best. I just want to be able to walk.”
A shocking bit of insight from the legendary big man Dikembe Mutombo , who is still rehabbing from his career-ending ruptured tendon in April. (By the way, Mutombo was called for a foul on the play.) Can only wish that classiest of NBA players the best of luck in achieving a full recovery as quickly as possible.
October 10, 2009 will be Brett Favre's 40th birthday. Favre -- or as Shaq would call him, "The Big Indecision" -- is having a renaissance year after a disappointing end to the 2008 season. Should he stay healthy, and should his team remain as good as they currently are, Favre will have the opportunity to break two NFL milestones: becoming the first 40 year-old QB to win a playoff game, and...
Total rebound percentage is a powerful number to know. If a certain player is on the floor, what percentage of the missed shots does he grab? Big deal. Important to winning games. And if you want to be really good at it, it turns out you had better be young. Like brand new to the NBA. If you just look for the best seasons ever , in terms of rebounding percentage, the players are young . Super young....
Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are barely done celebrating their championship win earlier this month, but all NBA teams, including the champs, are now 100% focused on the NBA Draft. IN case you were wondering, the Lakers are the favorites to win it all again next year, as the NBA future basketball odds are already out and getting betting action for the 2009-2010 Championship. LA have odds of +225 at SPORTSBETTING.com...
