It didn't take much reading between the lines Thursday to figure out the Bulls will try to trade disgruntled guard Larry Hughes by the Feb. 19 deadline, and he'd welcome a move. ''The trade deadline is coming around, so everybody has to keep an eye on that,'' Hughes said after practice. ''You just have to come out while you have the Bulls uniform on and play hard and try to get wins. We all have to...

Leading just about everyone to wonder, what took them so long : “Hughes has made it abundantly clear he would like to play more, venting frustration over his non-starting and limited role twice. And the Bulls absolutely are willing to accommodate him by the Feb. 19 trade deadline to alleviate their crowded backcourt situation.”

Larry Hughes has been complaining about minutes all season. He wants to start. He wants to play more. Hey, at least he cares, right? But that’s sort of been Hughes’ deal his whole career: oftentimes he wants and does too much, takes too many shots, and infuriates the fanbase. And this year, it’s not like he’s [...]

The Washington Wizards (7-27) are 20 games below .500 for the first time since Eddie Jordan's first season in Washington in 2003-04 -- when the team suffered because of injuries to Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes and finished 25-57. So the chances of Caron Butler or Antawn Jamison making the NBA all-star team are only slightly better than the team's non-existent playoff chances. I'd be shocked if we...

"If you get traded, obviously another team wants you, so it's always a positive in that way," Hughes said. "I definitely want to play minutes and contribute. That's a focus of mine. Hopefully, I'll get the opportunity to do that in the near future ." "Larry Hughes, Bulls want same thing: To part ways" [From the Fanshots. Seems that as long as the Bulls don't take back post-2010 salary, Hughes can be...

...for all the Ben Gordon haters out there: The Bulls' two-guards are ranked 7th in the league in Positional PER at 17.8. (And I can assure you, Larry Hughes (14.6) is not helping matters.) ** And for all the talk about how much of a detriment Gordon is as a defender, it's worth noting that they're sixth in net difference. So unless you think the Bulls are going to pick up D-Wade, Kobe, Joe Johnson,...

So I'm back from vacation: What'd I miss? Larry Hughes once again giving voice to his delusions of grandeur? K.C. Johnson endorsing the playing of Cedric Simmons over Joakim Noah, in the holy name of "Accountability"? Andres Nocioni sternly lecturing the team about playing solid one-on-one defense and preventing offensive rebounds? Ahh...it's great to be back with the 2008/09 edition of the Chicago...

MIAMI, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Miami outscored Chicago, 24-11, in the final 10 minutes Friday on the way to a 90-77 win over the Bulls in an NBA matinee. The contest was tied, 66-66, following Larry Hughes' dunk with 10:07 left, but a jump shot by rookie Michael Beasley started Miami's game-ending spurt. In all, Beasley scored eight of his 14 points in the fourth period. Dwayne Wade led the way with 28 points....

There’s been plenty of talk in the offseason about the possibility of the Cavaliers trading Wally Szczerbiak and his expiring contract. In all honesty, the topic was brought up the instant the Cavaliers acquired Wally in the big Larry Hughes trade last season. So it should be of little surprise to anyone that trade rumors [...]

From the category of beating a dead horse, in this case also known as the steaming pile of corpse that is Larry Hughes’ career, I give you epic injury fail. Apparently, Larry Hughes was all set to be traded back to the only place where he could play basketball and have fun pressure free [...]

This not the first time the Wizards were close to a trade. Sources tell me that the team was on the verge of a deal that would have sent Daniels, Etan Thomas and another player (maybe Dee Brown) to Chicago in October for Larry Hughes but the deal was put off when Hughes (shocker) injured his shoulder. Whoa! If you remember, this isn't the first time that the Wizards have been rumored to be shopping...

(BenGo07's cell phone rings. He looks and sees it's Coach Skiles.) BenGo07: Yo, yo. Coach Skiles: What's up! I'm on the Larry Hughes Bandwagon! BenGo07 (clearly stunned): Really? Coach Skiles: No. In fact, if I ever say that again, it means I'm in a hostage situation and that's the code phrase for the sharpshooters to take me out.

Bulls 105, Knicks 100: A five-point lead in the fourth quarter didn't do much good for the Knicks, who fell at the United Center in Chicago. Mike D'Antoni, who passed on the chance to coach the Bulls this past offseason, couldn't lead the troops to a win. The Knicks lost this one when Larry Hughes hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 55 seconds to go. Al Harrington had 28 points and Chris Duhon had 14 assists...
