Browse more photos » Most of this week's big transactions are already known (D-League cuts, the Chris Hunter call-up), but I thought I'd do a little clean up and post some lengthier comments about a few things. Quick Hitz - Marcus Williams early play is worth noting

To say that Marcus Williams’ NBA career has gotten off to a smooth start would be comparable to saying that Ronnie Brewer has the smoothest shooting stroke in the L. Drafted 22nd overall in the 2006 draft by the New Jersey Nets , it appeared that Williams was put in a perfect position to succeed by backing up future hall of fame…

Turnover at the Top

Chris Hunter is one of only a few of last season's D-League leaders coming back to the league. View full size photo » I've made a few oblique references this offseason to all of the D-League three-point shooters who will be playing overseas this year, and it's true that there will be some unfamiliar faces jacking up perimeter shots next month. But it's actually even more remarkable than I thought....

Game 8: Blazers @ Grizzlies, 5:00pm CSN

The Trail Blazers begin their first long road trip of the season with a stint in Memphis to face the young Grizzlies. The last two home games have been refreshing for Blazer fans who were concerned about chemistry, intensity and overall motivation. With a tweaked line-up and a commitment to running, the Blazers find themselves playing a back to back against two bad teams. A couple wins would go a...

These guys may look douchey, but just wait because the D-League is next. View full size photo uploaded October 30, 2009 Every year in the D-League is a little different. Ridiculous Transactions 10/19-10/25
