In a move that should surprise nobody, the Celtics waived Michael Sweetney in order to get the roster down to the league maximum of 15 players. We had seen several comments from Yahoo that suggested that Doc was set on keeping Sweetney but in order to do so, Danny would have had to make a trade or the team would have had to eat a guaranteed contract. I haven't been able to actually watch the games live because for some reason unknown to Celtics fans around the country, Dirct TV and League Pass and CSN are conspiring to shut their viewers off from the preseason. Up until this season, preseason games weren't blacked out on CSN and DTV offered them on League Pass. I have been able to watch them after the fact though and did follow them all on Celtics.com...
