I AM STILL waiting for the Doomsday Countdown to reach zero for the National Basketball Association. I've read the stories of how the illegal scheme involving former referee Tim Donaghy, who was sentenced to 15 months in prison yesterday for his role in betting on NBA games, was a blow to the integrity of the game that the league would struggle to overcome.
