It's July, but it seems like April with all the Nuggets talk around Denver. In the last 10 days, the team lost reserve Eduardo Najera to the New Jersey Nets and traded starting center Marcus Camby to the Los Angeles Clippers for a $10 million trade exception and a swap of second-round draft picks.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New Jersey Nets reached agreements with free agent forwards Jarvis Hayes and Eduardo Najera on Friday. Hayes played in 82 games for the Pistons last season and averaged 6.7 points and 2.2 rebounds. Hayes, who is 6-foot-8, spent four seasons with Washington before joining Detroit last season.

On the Nets' shopping list when they hit the free-agent market this week were players who had plenty of experience and players who came cheap. Forwards Jarvis Hayes and Eduardo Najera fit that description perfectly.
