JJ Redick's blog is pretty much gold. Yeah, it's not Channing Frye's or Greg Oden's, but the fact that it's usually so boring and mundane, and then filled with little nuggets makes the expedition into his brain that much more fun. This week's update ? Well, here's him on flopping. "Look, in my opinion, flopping is part of the game and should not be penalized in any way, shape, or form. Determining...

A couple of weeks ago, I claimed that J.J. Redick was stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place. After the Orlando Magic added yet another guard to their roster (Mickael Pietrus), where does that leave our main man J.J. now? Keyon Dooling does not like his chances of getting time in the Magic [...]

Even before the moment that the Orlando Magic selected J.J. Redick with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, I compared him to Trajan Langdon and questioned whether he could be a starting shooting guard on a playoff team. A couple months ago, David Thorpe of IMG and ESPN directly contacted me to explain why he still thinks that Redick can in fact successfully fill such a role but apparently...

Mike Bianchi, the most opinionated sportwriter in the Orlando Sentinel's bullpen, minces no words in this column, published in today's paper, imploring Otis Smith to admit his drafting of J.J. Redick was a mistake. I usually don't devote an entire post to one article, but this one really deserves its own discussion. Some highlights: The thing is, Smith has admitted the mistake in every way possible...

If there was ever any doubt, Magic shooting guard J.J. Redick pretty much knows for sure now that he has no future in Orlando.

J.J. Redick is stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place. His agent, Arn Tellem, has been busy dealing with his huge stable of draft-eligible clients over the past month and will likely not have his load lessened any time in the near future. Meanwhile, Redick wants out of Orlando, but the Magic have [...]

As expected, the Orlando Magic selected Courtney Lee with the 22nd overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Lee, 6'05" from Western Kentucky, is expected to compete with Keith Bogans and J.J. Redick for minutes at shooting guard. While I'm pleased with the pick -- he's topped my Magic draft board for the past week -- I'm a bit surprised the Magic didn't select Kansas power forward Darrell Arthur, a top-15...

It ain’t so easy now is it JJ. Must have been fun averaging over 30 pts a game and draining 19 foot three’s in college eh JJ? And it must have been even more fun knowing that the ladies were lining up just to take pictures with you. And even having girls licking those pictures [...]
