DALLAS — Rick Carlisle is off to a great start as coach of the Dallas Mavericks. He's already won over Dirk Nowitzki and he's saying exactly what Jason Kidd wants to hear.

This season has been a coming-out party for many of the NBA's future superstars. As many veterans are getting up there in age, they are making way for the young guns to take control of the show. Jason Kidd has slowed down this season - although he is still a triple-double threat every night - but he and Steve Nash clearly cannot guard anything that moves.
