(Sorry this is so late. Baby Point Guard needed lots of watching tonight.) Since the rumor has been floating around that the Blazers and Suns are considering a deal which would send Leandro Barbosa to Portland for Martell Webster, the #13 pick, and other considerations, here is most of what you’ll need to know about Barbosa plus an analysis of the deal. This comes from personal observation and statistical...

It seems to be a foregone conclusion that either before, during or shortly after the draft, the Suns will be down a prominent foreigner . Either Boris Diaw or Leandro Barbosa will be traded in an effort to either move up in the draft or land a veteran who can step in and contribute pronto. My feeling is that it's a tale of two upsides, which is odd considering we're talking about two players going...

What is Leandro Barbosa worth in this year's draft? LB may have been picked 28th in 2003, but the former sixth man of the year shot 44% from the arc last year and has a relatively cheap contract. Rumors from AZCentral are that he and Diaw are up for grabs in order to secure a second round draft pick. My problem with this is that you have developed rotation proven products that will be traded for a...

(Barry Gossage/NBAE/Getty Images) If you read Leandro Barbosa’s quote in the Brazilian sports newspaper, Lance (and who doesn't get and read Lance on a daily basis? I know I learned Portuguese to do just that) you probably are a bit concerned about LB’s status here in Phoenix. Not only does Barbosa question Steve Kerr and the [...]

by Marcel Mutoni Everything is juuuussst fine; seriously, nothing to worry about here. This seems to be he company line in Phoenix. From the controversial Shaq trade, to the fiasco that was Mike D'Antoni’s departure. But there’s one guy who’s not toeing the company line. That man is Leandro Barbosa, and the truth (may) set him free (literally). A Brazilian sports newspaper, Lance, asked Suns guard...
