You can count on J.R. Holden...

Orlando - Mo Evans was smaller and older than what the Orlando Magic felt like they needed at the shooting guard position than what Mo Evans gave them a year ago and replaced him with free agent Mickael Pietrus over...

The spotlight in Monday night's first dress rehearsal was on the Orlando Magic's new faces such as Mickael Pietrus. Dwight Howard, however, just can't help overshadowing his teammates.

Mickael Pietrus dunks for 2 of his 9 points in the Orlando Magic's 118-101 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night. Photo by Fernando Medina, NBAE/Getty Images Regrettably, I don't have the time to write a full recap of the Atlanta Hawks' 118-101 drubbing of the Orlando Magic right now, but I will later. Watch this space tomorrow morning for a recap. Until then, enjoy the above-depicted dunk by...

The game tonight isn't televised, but if you have a ticket, you'll get a chance to see newcomers Mickael Pietrus, Anthony Johnson, and rookie Courtney Lee probably get considerable playing time for the Magic. Tony Battie should also see action for the first time since missing all of last season with a shoulder injury. Even J.J. Redick and his new muscular physique should get a lot of playing time....

Center Dwight Howard walked past shooting guard Mickael Pietrus after Wednesday's scrimmage, pointed a menacing finger at him and growled in mock anger, "Not in my house."

John Denton filed a bunch of reports from the first day of the Orlando Magic's training camp yesterday, and I encourage everyone to check them out in his Florida Today forum . Quotes from the reports, as well as my reaction, follow. It sounds like Mickael Pietrus performed about as well as advertised yesterday . He made athletic defensive plays... ORLANDO -- Rashard Lewis had never before been happier...

John Hollinger doesn't think much of the Magic's moves this summer. In his exhaustive look at each free-agent signing by every NBA team this summer, he writes the following of the Magic's moves: Mickael Pietrus inked a four-year, $23 million deal to become Orlando's defensive stopper. Last season, he fouled so often [ ed. note: 5.5 fouls per 36 minutes ] it's inconceivable he could stay on the court...

Last season, the Magic surrendered season-high scoring totals to not a few shooting guards . They signed Mickael Pietrus last month to fortify their weakest overall position last season and, more importantly, to give them the lock-down defensive presence they lacked last season. Based on the Magic's schedule, they'll know fairly quickly if they made a wise investment. Here are the players we presume...

Obviously, there’s been a lot of speculation recently about my status with the Orlando Magic due to us drafting Courtney Lee and signing Mickael Pietrus. I’ve seen some articles written in the Orlando Sentinel saying that my time with Orlando is over. I have no idea what our roster is going to look like going into training camp but I will say this again: from everything I’ve been told, I expect to...

With the past few days being slow, I have had the chance to sit back and look at Orlando’s off-season moves so far. The Magic have made quite a bit of noise this summer considering that they didn’t have any cap room to work with. The team has added Mickael Pietrus, Anthony Johnson and Courtney [...]

Golden State Warriors Examiner - Mickael Pietrus leaves Warriors with less fanfare than B.D. ... or Adonal Foyle, for that matter - Examiner.com It was harder to say good-bye to Adonal Foyle than it was Pietrus, even though Foyle was a far less productive player. But Warriors fans came to respect Foyle because in the end they knew, unfortunately, he had reached his potential as a player. The same can’t...
