Was stumbling around on the Interwebs yesterday... when I ran across this gem of an article. Allow me to quote the great Robert Horry: " I don't want to retire, especially after a year like I had last year ,'' ... " I didn't get a full season in like I wanted to see if it's really time for me to retire. My last game I want to walk off the court sweating. My last game so far I walked off the court with...

Filed under: Rockets , Spurs , Western Towards the end of an athlete's career, there's always a number of questions about whether it's noble that he or she continues to compete, or regrettable that they continue to cling to the remnants of their fading skills. Such is the case with one Robert Horry , AKA, "Big Shot Bob." AKA "Cheap Shot Bob." AKA "Wily Pants McGee." Okay, I made the last one up. Horry...

Here are a few observations I took from the NBA Finals. Which mercifully ended with a 40 point killing in Game 6. Anyway, as follows: Good God, Simmons is going to be unbearable for the next 5 years. At least Rajon Rondo didn't break Robert Horry's record for steals in an NBA Finals game. Horry had 7 against Orlando in 1995. We feel somewhat sorry that our 28-part post on the future of each team no longer playing this season overshadowed Father’s Day. (Between that and liveblogging everything we can, it’s been crazy.) Therefore, we’re writing a belated Father’s Day post - this is a little tribute we wrote to one of the most dedicated dads in [...]

Filed under: Celtics , Rockets , Spurs , Boston As the legend of Big Shot Bob dissipates -- Robert Horry might retire this summer, and likely wouldn't be back in a Spurs jersey regardless -- another grows in its place. These days, it's possibly soon-to-be two-time champion James Posey who gets noticed as the defensive ace/heady, roughhouse leader/three-ball specialist who just plain wins. Marc J....
