Bud Appleby of Des Moines tells me Drake's men's and women's basketball recruiters have been busy. According to the Echo Pres s of Alexandria, Minn., 6-foot Angela Christianson of Alexandria has told Drake coach Amy Stephens she will enroll next fall . Before I get very deep into this column, I want to make one thing perfectly clear. Drake's men's basketball season is over . Finished. Done. Put to sleep. Thank goodness . Anyone hanging around the press table at the Missouri Valley Conference tournament in St. Louis who tells you otherwise has been spending far too much time in the hospitality room.
