The Columbia-HTC women's team will be going all out to reclaim the number one spot in the world next year after being beaten by Cervélo TestTeam in 2009. It was the first time in three seasons that Bob Stapleton's squad missed out on the accolade and despite a series of crashes that robbed Judith Arndt of valuable race days, the team are looking to strengthen with the signing of Noemi Cantele...

Today is the last stage of the race, and there's not a lot to say. Eight circuits round the Naples suburb of Grumo Nevano followed by Ina Teutenberg leading the sprint home. Maybe that's why they only put in two flat stages this year. I had been half hoping these last few days that Judith Arndt would pull back enough time and bonuses to make it a real possibility that this race, just like the men's...

Judith Arndt (Columbia-Highroad) won Sunday’s finale and secured the overall at the four-day Iurreta-Emakumeen Bira in Spain. After Columbia-Highroad teammate Mara Abbott and rival Claudia Hausler of Germany had attacked on the last climb, Arndt powered across to the two stage leaders on a dangerous rain-soaked descent. Arndt then outpowered Hausler in the final sprint for the line in the town...
