This is a first step to making it easy for our customers and users to quickly deploy the Zend software stack without having to go to various websites, download various packages and install them....
WEAR-TV in Pensacola admittedly is far from the most reliable news source. For what it's worth, however, it has been reporting this past news cycle that Escambia County Circuit Court Judge Michael Jones "began working" on his long-overdue Pensacola Beach ruling "this week." Very odd, that. We can't recall the last time a judge at any level in the common law world publicly disclosed...

The first day of a weekend of UCI-sanctioned 'cross racing in the Boulder, Colorado area happened to fall on Halloween this year and while much of the amateur field donned a plethora of colorful costumes to celebrate, the pros were predictably more seriously attired – all but Chris Jones, that is. Conveniently, Jones' title sponsor, Champion System, is a custom cycling clothing company and they...
Before the Broadway revival of Neil Simon 's play Brighton Beach Memoirs sadly closes tomorrow, there's something else I have to say. One aspect of the discussion about this terrific production disturbs me. It's shown up on the Broadway message boards and in at least one of the reviews. Here's an example from All That Chat : "I also happen to think David Cromer put together one of the most goyish...

A lot of the time FAD falls on a Tuesday and nobody gets anything so...fantastic coincidence! So what can fans expect from their day of appreciation? Well first of all, they're getting in for cheap. If they're...
The last week has been full of script writing. Mostly this has been for 'Interviews With a Serial Killer' - the film Chris Jones invited me to work on. But today I headed off to The Art Organisation in Leicester and had a day of script development for the 'Memorabilia' movie, working alongside director Rhys Davies. Memorabilia has been bubbling along on the back burner since the end of last year. It...
It's a new rivalry with some familiar faces. Vista del Lago High School plays at Oak Ridge on Friday, and the matchup offers some intriguing story lines, starting with Vista's coach, Chris Jones. Jones is an Oak Ridge graduate who turned an already formidable football program at his alma mater into one of the area's elites during his tenure in El Dorado Hills. Oak Ridge won three consecutive Sac-Joaquin...

Mike Singletary It's simple math. I don't want to be a nag. Even in my parenting, I wish I could learn to let things go. But if I say this is the way we're going to do it, then we need to make sure we're doing it every day. If we do this and this, then we'll get that. That's how I see life, the game everything else. Do these few things the right way every day, and the rest becomes inevitable. From...

With three weeks left in the high school football regular season, every remaining week could be considered "championship week." Week 8 includes at least four matchups that will go a long way in determining league titles. A quick look: In a battle of 7-0 unbeatens who run the wing-T, No. 13 Lincoln and quarterback Alex Stewart visit No. 9 Placer in Auburn in a Pioneer Valley League...
Just been reading Robin Goodfellow's post about the seminar last Friday at the University of Edinburgh on Literacy in the Digital University . He makes some interesting points about the clash of the 'literacies in learning' and the 'technologies in learning' frameworks, and I'm always in favour of surfacing these tensions. We spend far too much time in education trying to pretend we can all get on...
