As I sat here wondering how to begin this little attempt at writing, I started to draw glyphs with my fingernails into the microfiber nap of the couch. The fiber performs much like a magic tablet. If I smooth the nap in one direction, I can erase everything I’ve created and start anew with a blank slate. But today I wasn’t working with a blank slate. I was trying to find the multitudinous...

Must be the season for PR conferences. Yesterday I attended PRWeek's Next Conference at New York's Waldorf Astoria and was glad to see yet another great turn-out. This followed our PCNY media event this week, which sold out, the PRSA Int'l Conference , which drew thousands, and the Council of PR Firms' Critical Issues Forum that also played to a full house. Could it be that the economic tides have...

All weekend, I have been mulling over whether I should post this. As someone who tries not to allow myself to be easily manipulated, I had to make sure I was not being goaded into reacting instead of responding. I have come to the conclusion that the person in question is not that smart. So here goes. Geoffrey Davis apparently thinks everyone is as stupid as he is. Yes, the same Geoffrey Davis who...

Mmm... Browns ... Now, I know what you're thinking. Historically this season, I've been more negative than some of you would care for. I look at it as being more realistic, but at the same time it comes off as having a serious lack of faith in the team. Allow me to attempt to salvage my reputation by coming out and saying that this is easily the best matchup of the year for the Packers and that they...

Cleveland Browns backup running back James Davis is on Injured Reserve, and will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery after being hit after practice by an unnamed teammate. The teammate, a linebacker, was wearing pads; Davis was not. Browns Head Coach Eric Mangini says he's "comfortable" with the situation.
