Yahoo is running down the 32 NFL teams and ranking them in order of fantasy relevance. They have the Titans at #31 just ahead of the Chicago Bears. The article says the only Titan worth owning in an 8 or 10 team mixed league is Rob Bironas. It is hard to argue with their logic. A lot of us will be playing in a fantasy league together, so I am hesitant to give away too many of my secrets, but I am...

The series now turns to the special teams as we near the end of the positional reviews. Today we focus on the kicker and punter positions. Rob Bironas - Before the 2007 season started I don't believe anyone could have foreseen Bironas would have a Pro Bowl season. I was a little apprehensive after he missed [...]

Filed under: Titans , AFC South , Nashville The Titans are working out a long-term deal with one of their Pro Bowlers. Unfortunately, at least for now we're talking about kicker Rob Bironas and not defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. Now Bironas had an outstanding year, and re-upping him at a fair price sounds like a good deal. But just because Bironas had a great year this year doesn't necessarily...

Titans kicker Rob Bironas set new career highs in 2007 by making 35-of-39 field goals and all 28 extra points. Included in his field goal performances was Week 7 against Houston when he set the NFL record with eight in a game. His long for the season was 56 yards, and he made four field goals over 50 yards. Bironas picked a good time for a career year since he will be a free agent.

Rob Bironas was the hero of the 2007 season. He made 35 of his 39 field goal attempts, including an NFL record 8 in one game, on the season. He also made all 28 of his extra point attempts. Next year I would like to see the number change to 35 extra points and 28 field goals. Craig Hentrich had another solid year. His average was only 42 yards per punt, but he downed 24 inside the 20, and you can...

Filed under: Titans , NFL Free Agency , Nashville Kickers hardly ever make big money in free agency, and they're hardly ever traded. But Titans kicker Rob Bironas has the opportunity to be the exception this off-season. Bironas, coming off a season in which he was the best kicker in football, becomes a restricted free agent in March. And he's just hired a new agent, meaning he thinks now is the time...

Albert Haynesworth and Rob Bironas were both named to the first team on the AP All-Pro team today. This is the first time the Titans have been represented by 2 players on the AP All-Pro team since 2000. View the full first and second teams here. Congratulations to Haynesworth and Bironas for this much deserved honor.

INDIANAPOLIS — Kerry Collins spent most of the season waiting for a chance to prove he could still play. He led the Titans to three second-half field goals, including a 54-yarder from Rob Bironas to retake the lead in a 16-10 victory that left Tennessee celebrating and Cleveland grimacing.
