Gary Kubiak is the right man to lead the Texans

This guy is a good coach. Knows the game. Knows people. He's got a good general manager, too, and a really good owner. He has done an extraordinary job rebuilding the Texans. It's easy to say the Texans should have been rebuilt as quickly as the Falcons or Ravens. Problem is, none of those teams had to come as far as the Texans had to come after inheriting a 2-14 mess from the Dom and Charley era....

More photos » by Ben Margot - AP CJ! Slow down so I can congratulate you! Browse more photos » On behalf of the MCM faithful, I'd like to finally welcome Justin Gage to the 2009 season . Bruce has sore ankle

49ers coach Mike Singletary said WR Isaac Bruce injured his ankle against Tennessee on Sunday, which could be why he was limited to only one catch for 3 yards. "He has a sore ankle," Singletary said Monday. "He has had a sore ankle for a few weeks, a couple of weeks. Nothing big, but just kind of a little bit of pain there. He is trying to work through it. That's all it was." The...

Eagles will be very cautious with Brian Westbrook

It looked as if Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was going to return in week nine after missing most of the past two games due to a concussion. Head coach Andy Reid indicated earlier in the week Westbrook was expected to play after practicing on Wednesday and Thursday. But, Westbrook began experiencing symptoms of a mild headache on Friday. He underwent some testing, and although the...

Injuries continue to mount for Redskins

Just as the defeats continue to mount for the Washington Redskins, so do injuries to starting players. No bingo for DC: Eagles roll, beat Redskins 27-17

LANDOVER, Md. – Sherm Lewis might want to go back to bingo. Or, better yet, he might want to apply for a job as the Philadelphia Eagles' play caller — it's a much easier job with someone such as DeSean Jackson on your side. Jackson scored on a 67-yard reverse and caught a 57-yard touchdown pass in the first half, and the Eagles converted three turnovers into points Monday night in a 27-17 win over...
